The Glendronach Distillery is situated in the beautiful fertile and hilly Speyside area. James Allardice, the founder, was a good friend of the Duke of Gordon, who was co-responsible in Parliament for the Whisky Laws of 1823. These laws made it easier for licensed distilleries to pay less tax. Legendary is also an old steam-driven Lorry with the inscription “Glendronach – most suitable for medicinal purpose”.
The whisky is sherry, vanilla, nutty, fruity and slightly smoky in style.
