The Glenturret Distillery, one of the first with a visitor centre and the most visited, has been welcoming visitors since 2002 as “The Famous Grouse Experience”. It is located about 1 hour’s drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh in Hosh. Their monument is special. It is dedicated to a cat. In the 1970s and 1980s, the staff were very proud of their cat Towser, who had eaten so many mice (exactly 28899) in her life that she was included in the Guinness Book of Records.
