Glenburgie: Foundation: 1810 Debate: “Glenbörgie” Meaning: “Valley with the fortress* Status: in operation

The distillery Glenburgie is located just outside Alves. The date of foundation is not documented, but it is known that it was baptized Kilnflat and was in possession of William Paul until 1871. It is mainly used for the Ballantines. Some years 2 Lomond Stills were in operation. At this time another whisky called Glencraig was also produced.
The whisky is oily in style, fruity and has a noticeable herbal note.
