The Glen Garioch distillery is located just east of Kennethmore in Oldmeldrum. It is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland. The distillery has its own peat malt floors. Since the Japanese owner Suntory did not find a buyer, she started production again in 1997.

The whisky is peaty in style (in former times even more so), spicy and floral.
