An Cnoc: Foundation: 1894 Discussion: “An-nock” Meaning: the hill Status: in operation as Knockdhu

There is no An Cnoc distillery! An Cnoc is the name of the bottlings. The whisky An Cnoc comes from the distillery Knockdhu. After the reopening of the distillery Knockdhu in 1989, it was decided to avoid confusion with the whiskies of the Knockando distillery and to market the future bottlings under the name An Cnoc. Today, the whisky can almost only be found under the name An Cnoc, although the distillery name will continue to be Knockdhu.
Typical for Knockdhu/An Cnoc whiskies are soft, sweet, honey, melon and malty aromas.
