Jasper Jack Newton Daniel founded in 1866, the distillery at the Hollow in Lynchburg, Tennessee. This distillery was in the same year as the first registered in the Commercial Register. Since 1956, it is own of Brown-Forman Corporation. The water of the springing stone cold source is optimally designed (especially iron-free) for the whiskey. Be developed and patented charcoal filtering process – the Charcoal Mellowing provides the typical mild flavour. The whiskey seeps around 12 days drops by about three feet thick charcoal layer, which is prepared on the premises of sugar maple. This filtering removes unwanted fat, crude aromatic compounds and releases the aroma of charcoal at the Whiskey. Subsequently, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey burned in white oak barrels for at least 4 years stored before being packaged in the typical square bottles. The best known is the Black Label, which is often found also for mixed drinks, and in many bars. There are also bottled as single barrel – Mr. Jack, Silver Select, Gentleman Jack, Lynchburg or the Gold Medals, which are more recommended for pure pleasure.
