The distillery Caperdonich is one of 5 distilleries in Rothes. J. & J. Grant built it directly opposite the Glen Grant Distillery and for a long time it was Glen Grant No. 2 and was connected by a pipeline. It is said that this was drilled several times… Already 3 years after the opening it was closed again. Only in 1965 it was reactivated by Chivas under the name Caperdonich. A large part of the quantity was used for the blends of Chivas. In 2002 it was closed by Pernot Ricard.
The whisky is smoky in style, dry and with notes of raisins.
