Santa Lucia is an island in the Caribbean and belongs to the West Indies and is ruled by England. Most of the country’s income comes from tourism. The largest agricultural property sugar cane was replaced in the last years by bananas. The local distilleries have joined together under the St. Lucia Distillers Limited so that they can afford the import of molasses.
