Kinclaith: Founded: 1957 Debate: “Kingglies” Meaning: “Head of the River Clyde* Status: closed 1975

The Distillery Kinclaith was built within a 30 year old Grain Distillery in the middle of Glasgow.  After 18 years of production it had to give way again because of its enlargement. Therefore Kinclaith, which was always bottled as vintage by independent bottlers only, belongs to the greatest rarities of Scottish whisky.
The whisky is malty in style, fruity, ginger and slightly smoky.
