The distillery Glen Mhor was located on the western outskirts of Inverness opposite Glen Albyn. John Bernie and James Mackinlay owned both distilleries. Both were very successful in running the distilleries. But they were sold in 1972 and closed in 1983. They are replaced by a large shopping centre.

The whisky is sweet, malty, vanilla and aromatic in style.
